WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF UN-HABITAT´S REGIONAL OFFICE FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN ( ROLAC)

     Welcome! We are hoping to turn our website into an interactive working tool available to individuals and organizations who work and develop activities in the area of human settlements.

     Our goal is to have our website under constant change by presenting important regional topics as well as relevant national initiatives for the implementation of the Habitat Programme.

     The “Town Hall” section is a space for dialogue in order to strengthen regional exchange and cooperation, allowing for the discussion of new themes and trends in Latin America and the Caribbean.

     The purpose of our “Programme Area” is to give a vision of where we are concentrating our efforts and opportunities for collaboration. It also provides information on the main programmes and activities of UN-HABITAT around the world.

     The directory of people and organizations who work in the area of human settlements, as well as relevant programmed events in the region and updated news (what´s new?), are the sections of our website which are constantly updated. We hope to hear from you and to count with your input.

     Finally, our website also has a section on countries, which provides basic information, a directory and information on local events, allowing for direct contact with national actors.
